The images below represent the three alternate designs for the Florence Street Pedestrian Improvement Project. For all alternatives, the section receiving new sidewalk will no longer have street parking available.
Alternate design 1
This design has the least amount of construction and will require right-of-way acquisition or easements.
Alternate design 2
This design shows new sidewalk segments on the north side of the road, and requires an easement to connect existing sidewalks. Some slope easements from adjacent property owners are also needed, as the sidewalk will need to be constructed above existing ground level in some areas.
Alternate design 3
This design shows new sidewalk segments alternating between the north and south sides of the road, and requires an easement to connect existing sidewalk. Some slope easements from adjacent property owners are also needed, as the sidewalk will need to be constructed above existing ground level in some areas.
